Our team is hard at work building what we think is the future of Shopify themes. We're calling it Slab. Completely modular giving you total control to do what you want. Slab will be the theme foundation to use for any Shopify project.
We're building this with theme blocks which means we have to rebuild EVERYTHING. It's taking longer than we thought it would - but isn't that always the case.
Slab will feature nestable blocks you can use to build nearly any layout. Tables, grids, sliders, columns, tabs, popups and more can be combined and nested to give you endless flexibility. Our goal is to build a theme that can replicate nearly any ecommerce desgin.
